As a pioneer in the domestic substitution of imported composite material bearings, SHCM holds over 40 patents and serves as the lead drafting unit for the national industry standard for elastic metal-plastic pads used in thrust bearings of hydro-generators. The company holds memberships in the Hydropower Branch of the China Electricity Council and the Hydraulic Metal Structure Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Hydroelectric Engineering, and participates in the Self-lubricating Bearing Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Plain Bearing Standardization.
SHCM's products are widely applied in clean energy sectors, including hydropower & hydraulic engineering, wind power, and nuclear power, as well as in mining & metallurgical machinery and military industry. With a proven track record in over 3,000 hydropower stations, SHCM's products have successfully replaced imports in major projects such as the Three Gorges, Xiluodu, Baihetan, Laxiwa, and Goupitan hydropower stations. The company's solutions have also been exported to multiple Belt and Road Initiative projects. SHCM has achieved breakthroughs in core technologies for nuclear main pump bearings, previously subject to foreign restrictions, and its wind power sliding bearings have been included in the Ministry of Science and Technology's 14th Five-Year Plan National Key R&D Program for Renewable Energy.
In response to the national drive to build world-class hydropower plants and develop the digitalization and intellectualization of integrated water-wind-solar new power systems, SHCM is actively developing new quality productive forces.
