Since its establishment, SHCM has consistently focused on domestic and international trends in the plain bearing industry, with long-term dedication to material research and application technology development of self-lubricating composite materials and their bearing products. To this end, the company has established a specialized research and development institution—the Enterprise Technology Center.

In 2009, the SHCM Technology Center was recognized by the Dalian Science and Technology Bureau as the "Dalian Self-Lubricating Composite Materials Engineering Technology Research Center." In 2010, it was designated as a municipal-level Enterprise Technology Center by the Dalian Economic and Information Commission. Further, in 2012, it was accredited as a provincial-level Enterprise Technology Center by the Liaoning Provincial Economic and Information Commission.

The Enterprise Technology Center comprises specialized research divisions, bringing together a team of professional R&D and design talents. This includes industry experts who enjoy special government allowances from the State Council, as well as several senior engineers with extensive experience in the development of anti-friction, wear-resistant, self-lubricating composite materials and bearing products.
